Sun Kissed and Blessed in Languedoc

Over half way through the summer months and we are enjoying the company of the families staying with us in Villa Roquette. We have spent the last five years working on our home to make it comfortable and welcoming and this is our first full season in Montblanc. For ten years we had two holiday apartments in our first home here in Nizas so we understand what our guests are looking for. Come and stay with us, we have some accommodation for most of October and then all through to the end of 2012 – book now to avoid disappointment :)

Family Holidays – Our home is great for families. If you are travelling with kids through the South of France, we offer a place to rest, enjoy an evening meal with us (or eat out in a local restaurant), have individual private, cool and comfortable rooms and breakfast of fresh bread, croissants, fruit and juice (coffee for the grown-ups) to set you on your journey – or just stay with us for a few days and relax by our pool.

Golf – Just up the road, under ten minutes from our front door, is Golf St Thomas a beautiful oasis in the heart of the local countryside, one of the best 18 hole golf courses in the South of France,.

Photography – With guests arriving, building work to finish and family visiting, I have not spent much time recently on this computer. I am back now and working on my photography courses which will start with some residential sessions later in September. I am planning to set out a series of online tutorials covering most of the subjects. These will be set out on my site at 2337.com.

Last Minute news – We now have one apartment free in September from the 11th to the 20th of September. It is our Poppy Apartment

The French Property Market – I get a lot of enquiries about buying property in France. I can only comment on our own area and will help your for a home in the area from the Mediterranean around Agde to about 25 km inland as I know these towns and villages very well. The facts are that in this area prices are steady and the demand for good homes is strong.

I am sure there are bargains around, but these will not be found on Internet sites. The only way to find a bargain is to come here and look, hard.

In our village I know of a good building plot for one home for 150,000 euro (that is 300 euro a square meter). A small village house costs from 80,000 euro with no outside space or land and a prestige property costs up to 2 million euro, the average family home costs 330,000 euro. These are the facts based on actual sales in the last three months

I live in the South of France, our children are building their own lives and we have made a small business from our property and home at Villa Roquette. A stranger in a strange land, I am happy advise and comment on questions about life and living here.

Christmas is Coming, why not spend this Christmas this year in the South of France with us, we promise a warm welcome and Oysters with Champagne on the terrace.
