I would like to hear from you. After years of building our rentals and Internet business, I am ready to shift focus. Your opinion is valuable to me, please comment, contact or reply to this mail with a few words to tell me what you think of my thoughts and plans.
Twenty five years ago I changed my life, I was a freelance photographer in the UK, with successful exhibitions, publications of my work and advertising jobs for London agencies. I had travelled to many countries documenting and reporting and I was building a good reputation. I also enjoyed teaching darkroom skills and taught photography from my studios near Cambridge.
When we moved to France I planned to start a photo school and continue working in photography – but building and renting our home kept me busy, I created an online business renting villas and apartments all over France. It has been a bumpy (and exciting) road, but now I am returning to our original plan – to run photography courses in the South of France and to start new projects.
Starting this September I am offering small groups, no more than four people, a modular course of camera and photo techniques, digital and chemical – darkroom and computer techniques, monochrome and colour.
My new blog at 2337.com has the news and our site at Villa Roquette has some details and information.

For the first time I am offering a selection of my prints for sale. Previously I have sold prints to galleries through agencies. I never had the time to produce more prints for private sale although I was often asked. These are all archival, exhibition quality, silver gelatin prints and I will be only printing a limited number.
The first print I am offering is Txi Whizz at Trinity

I have been reporting on the potential problems facing owners of vacation homes in Paris, I moved the blog to ParisCharade/ – with my other blog at SouthernFrance this opens up another angle on vacation rentals – the legal obligation to register all vacation properties with the local authorities before the end of June (10 days away) – If you own a property in France and rent it for any period less than a year please read them – I welcome feedback on these blog articles.
